These machines built to repeat a carefully calculated miss approach over and over by Michael Kontopoulos absolutely stimulate my interest getting to a world where the machine’s ‘live’ has way more character than the actual outcome. Love it!

David Byrne – Playing the Building

David Byrne is activating the Maritime Building’s Sound in NYC, a fromer ferry station, by the use of engines that set specifis parts of the building into vibration to release the objects natural ambient sound.
