Filip Dujardin did an excellent job in his current show at the ‘bozar‘ in Brussels with his interpretation of Belgian built environment. To me, Belgium is a place where engineering has been celebrated as the form-giving force in the design process. Things seem to function without a big emphasis on their look.

Blue Tarp – Houses

These pictures were taken last spring in Vietnam, similar developments can also be seen in China. Blue Tarp is being used as a low-tech shell against wind & water due to its easy handling and reusability as seen here. The above shags seem to be temporary shelter for moving workforces along new-built highways.
