suposedly, this is a handful of abandoned buildings in Oslo which André Chocron uses as canvases when he creates an impressive animated visual. However, I am not sure if should belive the story.

‘The places we live‘ by Jona Bendiksen is this really well-done interactive photo and sound documentary about  households in slums around the world. I spent half an afternoon looking at it, here is the link.

David Byrne is activating the Maritime Building’s Sound in NYC, a fromer ferry station, by the use of engines that set specifis parts of the building into vibration to release the objects natural ambient sound.

A corner of the job-site where the former east german ‘Palast der Republik‘ (images here) is being demolished these days gives temporary home to this weird container-outpost of the curry-wurst, forming its own little territory by the simple use of beer garden furniture on astro-turf.

Came over this again today, still nice to see how the collage-situation in the shop merge with the animated collage. Reminds me of the first pages of the SMLXL book…

These pictures were taken last spring in Vietnam, similar developments can also be seen in China. Blue Tarp is being used as a low-tech shell against wind & water due to its easy handling and reusability as seen here. The above shags seem to be temporary shelter for moving workforces along new-built highways.
