A corner of the job-site where the former east german ‘Palast der Republik‘ (images here) is being demolished these days gives temporary home to this weird container-outpost of the curry-wurst, forming its own little territory by the simple use of beer garden furniture on astro-turf.

Filip Dujardin did an excellent job in his current show at the ‘bozar‘ in Brussels with his interpretation of Belgian built environment. To me, Belgium is a place where engineering has been celebrated as the form-giving force in the design process. Things seem to function without a big emphasis on their look.
